There are moments in a company’s journey that remind you why you started.
Today is one of those moments.
We are proud to announce the launch of Brastorne’s solutions in Côte d’Ivoire, marking our sixth African market and another bold step toward our mission of making digital access simple, inclusive, and transformative for underserved communities.
What began as an ambitious idea in Botswana has now grown into a multi-country digital ecosystem serving over 5.9 million users across Africa.
From agriculture and health to financial literacy and public information, our platforms have been designed with one thing in mind, reaching the people traditional digital systems often leave behind.
And now, Côte d’Ivoire joins that journey.
Why Côte d’Ivoire?
Côte d’Ivoire represents one of West Africa’s most dynamic economies, with strong agricultural roots, growing mobile penetration, and millions of people who can benefit from lightweight, accessible digital tools.
Through our partnership with Orange Côte d’Ivoire, we are introducing Brastorne’s hybrid approach combining USSD, SMS and IVR to ensure access regardless of device, literacy level, or internet connectivity.
This expansion is not just geographical. It is strategic.
It strengthens our footprint in Francophone Africa and brings us closer to our vision of building Africa’s most inclusive digital infrastructure for the next billion users.
A Journey of Milestones
As we celebrate this launch, it’s worth reflecting on how far we’ve come:
- Founded in Botswana, with a vision to simplify digital access for underserved communities.
- Expanded into 6 African countries: Botswana, Zambia, DRC, Cameroon, Guinea, and now Côte d’Ivoire.
- Reached 5.9 million+ users across our ecosystem.
- Supported millions of farmers through our flagship agricultural platform, mAgri.
- Achieved a measurable $93.67 increase in farm value for every $1 invested.
- Helped female farmers increase net incomes by 12%.
- Reduced communication and information costs by up to 85% for users.
- Built partnerships with global organisations including UNICEF, USAID, MIT Solve, and Google.
- Featured on CNN’s Inside Africa for our work in driving digital inclusion.
Each milestone tells the same story, Africa’s future is digital, but only if it is inclusive.
Building for the Real Africa
At Brastorne, we have always believed innovation should adapt to people, not the other way around.
That’s why our platforms are built for low-data environments, entry-level devices, local languages, and real-world community behaviours.
Côte d’Ivoire is another opportunity to prove that technology designed with empathy can scale with impact.
As our Founder and CEO, Martin Stimela, puts it:
“Every new market is more than expansion for us, it’s another opportunity to unlock human potential through access. Côte d’Ivoire strengthens our belief that Africa doesn’t need imported solutions to thrive, it needs locally relevant systems built for its realities.”
What Comes Next?
This launch is only the beginning.
As Brastorne continues to evolve, we are investing deeper into AI-powered advisory systems, digital health platforms, and new community-driven commerce models that will define the future of access across the continent.
To our partners, users, and communities. Thank you for believing in this mission.
To Côte d’Ivoire, Bienvenue.
The journey continues.
